With wide side decks, spacious lounging areas, shaded seating in the cockpit, two restrooms, twin hull stability, and accommodations typically found on much larger yachts, NOVA offers a sailing experience unlike anything else on Lake Michigan.

Based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin we can arrange departures or drop-offs from Milwaukee to Chicago.

CAPTAIN POLICY (IMPORTANT!)

Waypoint Marine does not provide captains for groups over 6 people.

However, for clients with larger groups up to 12 people who wish to Bareboat Charter the vessel and prefer additional support, we offer a referral list of independent, licensed captains who you may hire to skipper the vessel.

Captain selection is entirely at the discretion of the charterer
Captains are paid directly by the client
Typical rates: $75/hr–$150/hr depending on group size, crew requirements, and trip length.

No. You can charter the vessel and hire a captain without any sailing experience.
If you wish to charter the vessel on your own you simply need to provide your sailing c/v demonstrating proper experience or complete our approved training pathway.
Absolutely. Our company policy encourages guests to enjoy all aspects of the charter including the sailing operations and this philosophy is shared with all of our approved captains.
Yes. Children are welcome on the boat. We do require everyone to adhere to local, state and federal regulations when it comes to wearing approved USCG Personal Flotation Devices.
You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages.
We can also arrange catering and beverage options per request.
We recommend dressing for the weather and wearing layers. Typically conditions on Lake Michigan can be cooler than the inland forecasted temperatures.
We are constantly monitoring the weather and marine conditions. We believe in full transparency when it comes to operations. If we notice conditions changing we will reach out to determine the best possible solution.
If we are unable to complete the trip in its entirety due to changing weather conditions we will prorate the difference.
